ZIF-8/Cellulose Acetate Based Mixed Matrix Membranes (MMMs) Synthesis and Characterization

Mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) have gained much interest in the last two decades to be used as water, waste and gas separation membranes. MMMs combine polymer inorganic filler improve performances of pure polymeric However, choice should conducted carefully avoid formation microvoids that can decrease membrane’s performances. Hence, this study synthesis characterization Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework-8 (ZIF-8) based were which ZIF-8 has organic component particle dispersion microvoids. Experimental results showed incorporation improved degree crystallinity also enhanced compared fillers, such TiO 2 .
